Casa Quetzal Hotel Valladolid , Valladolid (Yucatan)

Wow, what a gem of a hotel! The location is superb, just a short walk to the town center and right next to the iconic Convent of San Bernardino. The rooms in the main building are spacious, decorated in a charming traditional style, and impeccably clean. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and accommodating staff that made our stay truly delightful. However, the lack of privacy due to the fully screened windows was a minor downside.

Staying at this hotel was a great experience overall. The old hacienda atmosphere added a unique charm to the property, while the spacious rooms were immaculately clean. Although being close to a road could be a slight inconvenience, the size of the rooms was definitely a plus compared to other hotels.

My stay at the hotel was lovely. The room was spacious with two double beds and a hammock, although a bit noisy due to its street-facing location. It lacked heating at night but opened out onto a beautifully planted courtyard with a small swimming pool. The service was friendly and helpful, although English communication was a bit challenging. The location was great for exploring, near shopping areas and away from the noise, but slightly distant on hot days from the town square. The dining experience was delightful, offering fresh fruit, yogurt, and granola for breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay.
